After a two year hiatus, Islanders Central is finally making a return. We now have a five person staff, each of whom will be giving their opinions and information based on everything Islanders. Adam will be covering the prospects and minor leagues, Lucas will be covering all Islanders related rumors, Justin will be covering interviews and the like, and Brett and I will be taking care of news and all other things Islanders.

The Bloggers
Adam - A lifelong Long Islander who has spent some time living away from the Island but never losing that pull to come back when I was away. I was born the year of the first Cup win, so unfortunately I was never able to experience that live but was around to see Pat LaFontaine pot the overtime winner in the Easter Epic. I will be covering the Islanders prospects and minor leaguers. I will be providing insight and updates on how they are finding their way through the world of hockey as they move from one level to another. An NHL team is only as good as the pool feeding it; this is where we will be able to keep our eye on them.
Carey - There's always been one sport that I've followed more closely and that's been hockey. I started to root for the Islanders in 1996 and as each year passes I learn more about the game and the team. I have past blog experience from the successful first edition of Islanders Central, and with this edition, I expect even greater things. Currently, I attend Pitt as a marketing major and will be a junior this coming fall.
Justin's relationship with the Islanders started when he was 5 years old, when he watched Ziggy Palffy score two goals on opening night in 1995 (after the lockout) to beat the Panthers 3-2. Fourteen years and three seat upgrades later, he still follows the Islanders closely, going to games with his father as a season ticket holder. Justin is currently building experience as a journalism major at NYU, working as the sports deputy editor of the Washington Square News last semester as well as working for the WNYU Sports department for the past two years. Justin is honored to be working for the blog and hopes to shed some insight into his posts.
Lucas - I went to my first Islanders game at only 6 months old and have been an Islander fan ever since. As I grew older and learned more about the game, I became more of a diehard fan. I opened up my own blog, Islander Zone, in August of 2007. Rumors became my speciality, and I'm proud to bring this to Islanders Central. I also have become skillful in graphic design after a couple years of experimenting with Photoshop.
